월세 (Wolse)

A smaller deposit plus monthly rent.

Wolse is the most common choice for foreigners. You pay a smaller deposit (보증금) upfront and then a fixed monthly rent. The bigger the deposit you put down, the lower your monthly rent can be negotiated. The deposit is returned at the end of the lease minus any unpaid bills or damage.
